We look forward to welcoming our existing and many new families to MVSD for the 2021/2022 school year.

Our theme for the year is "Soaring to New Heights". Information about orientations, the first week of school and more will be coming soon. You can check on school websites for the latest details as well.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has revised face covering requirements for offices and schools. According to the latest guidance ALL students must wear a face covering when inside of the classroom. Face coverings are not required when students are outside. About Us

Mountain View School District was founded in 1884 in the agricultural lands of the former Spanish Ranchos. The district began as a small one room school house at Collins Station along the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1942 a new school was built on the corner of Archibald and Walnut close to where our district office building now stands. The region grew and a new Mountain View School was built in 1962 followed by Grace Yokley School in 1982, Creek View School in 1986 and Ranch View School in 1993. Our district currently has 2690 students served by 104 teachers and 170 administration and support staff. We continue to grow with the expansion of the City of Ontario in the Ontario Ranch developments. We look forward to welcoming new families to our Mountain View School District community.

Mountain View School District is a school community whose members focus on the whole child: ensuring each child is safe, that each child's needs are met, and that each child is provided an education of the highest quality.

Our continuing mission at Mountain View School District is to provide a foundation for sustained educational excellence for students and staff by setting clear goals and high expectations in a safe and trusting environment that supports individual success.
