    SUPERINTENDENT'S BLUE BOX MESSAGE

    Updated October 15, 2021

Our MVSD schools are doing a wide range of activities that support Bullying Awareness and Kindness during the month of October.

Students should feel safe at school. We also seek to promote safe environments in our community. This includes the cyber community.

Please talk to your students about what they are learning in school about the topics of bullying and safety. Keep open discussions going about school safety. If you have concerns, please reach out to your student's teacher and principal.

Together, we can make school a safe, engaging and fun learning environment for everyone.

    Dr. Douglass Moss, Superintendent

    2021-2022 Independent Study Program

MVSD has contracted with Chaffey West of San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools to provide an Independent Study program to interested families.  The Independent Learning Academy program is available for grades 1-8.  Students enrolling in this program will unenroll from MVSD and enroll with Chaffey West through a referral process.

Please contact your student's school for more information or to begin the referral process.

Parents of students returning for 2021-22

Parents now need to update their continuing student's information through your ParentVUE online account. When you log into your ParentVUE account now, you will be directed to update and affirm information regarding health conditions, phone numbers, emergency contacts, etc., for the 2021-22 school year. This process replaces most of the paper forms that were previously sent home at the beginning of each school year.

You must log into your ParentVUE account to update your information, click on the following icon:

    Returning Student Registration

Log in with your ParentVUE username and password that you created and proceed through the process. If you forgot your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link to reset.

Once you have completed the updates, the information will then be sent to the school office for review.

This process typically takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. If you need assistance or are unable to access this information online, please contact the school office.

    About Us

Mountain View School District was founded in 1884 in the agricultural lands of the former Spanish Ranchos. The district began as a small one room school house at Collins Station along the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1942 a new school was built on the corner of Archibald and Walnut close to where our district office building now stands. The region grew and a new Mountain View School was built in 1962 followed by Grace Yokley School in 1982, Creek View School in 1985 and Ranch View School in 1993. We look forward to opening Park View School in August 2022. Our district currently has 2690 students served by 108 teachers and 170 administration and support staff. We continue to grow with the expansion of the City of Ontario in the Ontario Ranch developments. We look forward to welcoming new families to our Mountain View School District community.

Mountain View School District is a school community whose members focus on the whole child: ensuring each child is safe, that each child's needs are met, and that each child is provided an education of the highest quality.

Our continuing mission at Mountain View School District is to provide a foundation for sustained educational excellence for students and staff by setting clear goals and high expectations in a safe and trusting environment that supports individual success.
