Facilities

Mountain View District conducts regular maintenance of all District sites. The management of work orders, food service logistics, warehouse, utility and waste, and energy conservation falls under the purview of Facilities. This department also oversees renovations, modernization, planning and construction of new school sites.

Mountain View School District is committed to maintaining school facilities that are clean, safe, efficient, and in excellent working order.  We utilize employees and outside contractors that take pride in their work to keep all of our sites in the best condition possible.

Review of School Facilities

A Comprehensive Facility Safety Review is conducted at each site/facility in July and April. There are also monthly site inspections conducted by the Principal and Maintenance & Operations Lead, which are reviewed by the District Office.

Any deficiencies or areas of need are addressed quickly and resolved in a timely manner.  The results are made public in the School Accountability Report Cards (SARC) for each school site. The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) contains specific goals for facilities in our District.

School/Developer Fees

For information on paying fees, contact SchoolFees@mvsdk8.org or call (909) 947-2205.

School districts are required, on an annual basis, to prepare and have approved by the District's Board of Trustees, an annual School Facilities Needs Analysis in order to establish and charge fees to developers and home owners wishing to build new residential or commercial buildings. The fees are used to offset the impact of those new residential homes and/or commercial buildings.

Below are the current fees and most recent School Facilities Needs Analysis for Mountain View School District.

New School Construction

Park View School in Ontario Ranch

Mountain View School District's attendance area includes what was once the California Dairy Preserve. Much of the preserve is becoming part of large planned region of homes and commercial development called Ontario Ranch.

Many new families will join MVSD's community in the near future. Construction of homes is underway on the Ontario/Eastvale border. This will be the area where our next elementary school (Park View School) will be built. We will utilize our existing capacity at our current school sites until we begin construction on Park View School. The District follows housing construction closely and monitors our new enrollment numbers.

There is no date set for ground breaking for Park View School. Students currently residing in Ontario Ranch will be attending Ranch View School (TK-5) and Grace Yokley Middle School (6-8).
